New Website Features His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III’s Unprecedentedly Large Number of Recognitions, Accomplishments, and Awards as well as His Priceless Visual Arts, and How He Has Selflessly Benefited the Public
June 20, 2016 — A new English-language website dedicated to sharing information about His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III launches today at http://www.hhdorjechangbuddhaiii.com/. It should be pointed out that although this website uses the Buddha-title of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III, it is not a website established by His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. Rather, it is a website set up by us, the Foundation for the Protection and Promotion of Justice.
It has been our long-standing opinion that, in addition to the fact that the Buddha-dharma, accomplishments, deeds to benefit the public, and selfless contributions of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III are unmatched by anyone else in human history over the past few thousand years, the humility and modesty of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III are also rare in the world. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III always says that He is a servant of all living beings and puts Himself at a very low position. Furthermore, He never permits anything publicizing Himself to be published on the website of the Office of H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. It is true that from the recorded dharma discourses and numerous writings by His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III, we can acquire correct views, become good people who help others and benefit society, and then enter into the state of liberation. However, it is simply far from sufficient to learn about His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III from recorded dharma discourses spoken by His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III and the public announcements from the Office of H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. From these sources of information, we would never be able to learn about the great compassion, wisdom, and magnificence of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. The fact is that His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III would never establish His own website to praise Himself. Instead, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III always talks about where He has not done enough. As an analogy, most websites that we commonly see would always say, “My watermelons are sweet. My pancakes smell good.” On the other hand, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III would definitely say, “My watermelons are average. My pancakes are nothing special.” Therefore, in order to truly reflect the real His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III, we have created this website about His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III.

In addition to featuring information on His unprecedentedly large number of recognitions and accomplishments, the website provides information on Buddhist practices and the Five Vidyas. In the view of Buddhism, all knowledge within the universe is summarized into five aspects. Anyone who has mastered the knowledge relating to each of these five aspects is called one who possesses the Five Vidyas. Achieving levels of high expertise in the Five Vidyas is called wondrous mastery of the Five Vidyas. In His teachings, Shakyamuni Buddha told people that “One becomes a Bodhisattva through the Five Vidyas.” (A Bodhisattva is a holy one by definition.) Shakyamuni Buddha taught that mastery of the Five Vidyas is the necessary condition of a truly great holy person and the sole standard to measure a holy one.
His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III has been recognized by the most highly realized practitioners of Buddhism as the third incarnation of the original Buddha. His cultivation and accomplishments are representative of His inner-vidya powers. As an example, His manifestation of reversing an aged appearance to that of a youth has never been achieved by any great dharma king or dharma master from any sect or school. Other examples of his inner-vidya powers can be found in the arts and humanities.
His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III received the World Peace Prize, Top-Honor Prize, an award later unanimously affirmed by the 112th Congress in U.S. Senate Res. 614, which commended Him for advancing peace, justice and inter-religious collaboration. He has also long been an internationally renowned artist. His paintings are not limited by subject or themes and are of many types, from water-ink paintings to oil paintings. Each are extremely valuable and rare. As early as in 2000, His artworks were sold for more than $2 million dollars each. In March 2015, an ink painting of His was sold at the New York Spring Auction for $16.5 million, which was the highest price realized at the 2015 Spring Auction of all artworks by ancient and modern artists worldwide. His paintings are on permanent exhibition at the International Art Museum of America in San Francisco, the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum in Los Angeles County, and other art museums. Paintings by Him also hang in private collections across the world. For example, His water-ink painting entitled Dragon Carp Frolic in a Lotus Pond is on display at the Hall of Fish Paintings by Famous Artists, where works created by artists at the highest national level (National First Class Artist) are exhibited. Moreover, it is the only painting there that is regarded as a world-class treasure and called “a peerless and sublime painting.” Its appraised value is US$59,000,000.
Thousands of His discourses have been recorded, some of which are being translated into English and other languages. The Xuanfa Institute, also based in California, is a nonprofit, international organization founded by Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche to propagate the true Buddha-dharma as taught by Shakyamuni Buddha and His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III.
His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III, previously known as Master Wan Ko Yee (Master Yi Yungao in Mandarin), was born in China and immigrated to the United States in 1999. He currently lives in California. However, Buddhist disciples all over the world are learning and propagating the teachings of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. He is the only person in this human world who has received such a large number of recognitions and corroborating recognitions regarding His status, all made in accord with the dharma. He is also the only Buddha in this human world recognized as such.
